Chef's Cutting Boards

Self-healing end-grain surfaces are much harder surfaces and provide greater tolerance for chopping motions. With the grain of the wood aligned vertically, the wood separates and then closes when struck by a knife blade. Old fashioned cutting boards were always made of end-grain wood, keeping knives sharper. The cutting boards displayed here were custom made to customer specifications by WazWoodz.

Measuring 22" X 20" x 2", this incredibly beautiful free-standing cutting board is made with end-grain walnut and cherry woods.			Measuring 25" X 12" x 2", this rectangular cutting board of end-grain walnut, maple, and cherry woods, was made to fit into a custom countertop.
